Nomadic Noah & Co

Panama City Beach

November 26, 2020

After some Noah and Mom time on Miramar Beach, we hooked up and traveled a short distance Eastward. Our next stop was the Emerald Coast RV Resort in Panama City Beach. The campground was not on the beach, but it was still nice. The RV park was complete with a lake, pond, two pools, basketball and volleyball courts.  Our goal was to find a place to stay at until after Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, Emerald Coast only had availability through Wednesday, November 25th.  Apparently, the panhandle of Florida is a popular place to be for the Thanksgiving week. My mission was to keep calling area RV parks in hopes that someone would cancel for the two days we needed.

We were really looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with Marc and Rebecca and in the process of finding an RV park to stay at, we stopped at Fresh Market to pick up some Turkey Day supplies.  The store was beautifully decorated with Holiday trimmings and the shelves were full of sorts of goodies.  They also had a great selection of coffee!

Another priority on my list for the day was to get a pedicure.  I had not had one since Williams Arizona which seems like forever ago, so I decided it was time to give my toes some love.  Through Instagram I had stayed in touch with a super cool lady I had met in Monroe Utah named, Kristen.  Her and her family are fulltime travelers and just so happened, they are staying in Panama City Beach too! They have been all over the country and world doing a combination of RVing and staying in Airbnbs. I invited her to join me for a pedicure and she accepted.  We had a great time getting pampered and discussing our next move when it comes to “out of the box” living😊

Noah and Alex explored the pier while they waited for me…

That evening we ventured out to a nearby beach, St. Andrews State Park.  We arrived about an hour before sunset and we could not believe how amazing the sky looked. The sunset was simply magical.  There were even rays jumping out of the water!  If we looked closely, we could see them swimming up and down the shoreline.

After enjoying the view and digging in the sand for a while, we packed up and headed back to the RV to get ready for dinner at Marc and Rebecca’s house. Florida really is starting to grow on us!
